Singer/songwriter Jesse McCartney has christened "Departure" as the title of his upcoming 3rd album, which is due 20th May via Hollywood Records. The set will be preceded by lead single "Leavin'", co-written by Terius "Dream" Nash (Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson), and produced by Christopher "Tricky" Stewart (Rihanna, Britney Spears).
The disc is also confirmed to boast alliances with Sean "The Pen" Garrett (Kelis, Ashlee Simpson), Kwame Holland (Christina Aguilera, Fantasia Barrino), Eric Hudson (Wynter Gordon, Raven Symone), Jonathan "J.R." Rotem (Christina Milian, Jessi Malay), and songwriting team The Clutch: Patrick "J.Que" Smith, Ezekiel Lewis, Candice Nelson & Balewa Muhammad (Amerie, Jennifer Lopez).
Other tracks that are slotted for inclusion on "Departure" include "Danger Zone", "Baby", "Get It On", "Make Up", "Rock You", "Think About It" and "Without You".
You may be aware that McCartney co-wrote Leona Lewis' smash single "Bleeding Love" with producer Ryan "Alias" Tedder, who's also working on the next projects by Robyn Janelle (Geffen Records), Jennifer Hudson (J/Arista Records), and Paula DeAnda (Arista Records).
Hamada aka Monica February 21, 2008 10:40 AM PST Hey Tom, thanx for at least bothering to tell me about it when you simply don't have to! You're such a gem, and if I ever be part of the music industry, I'll make sure to take you with me as well (hee hee).
Tom February 20, 2008 07:08 PM PST Lol you just be glad you have me to help you out when I can hehe because I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's a frustrating and thankless job [in terms of the songs you really wanna hear never being released etc]...
leorina February 20, 2008 06:21 PM PST hi jesse you are the fantasic buy in planet
Hamada aka Monica February 20, 2008 12:13 AM PST Hey Tom, I'm really envious of how you come up with all this info, hee hee. Thanx again for the precious tips!
Garrett's album is shaping up to very interesting. I heard "Grippin" and he has a nice voice, and the same can be said about his body as well, hee hee!
Keep writing!
Tom February 19, 2008 10:44 PM PST The 2 Rotem tracks Danger Zone and Get It On were written for Jennifer Lopez' last album, not sure if they'll be part of his own album. Probably the same for "Baby" as well. Makeba also wrote a track with Bogart & Rotem for Jennifer's album, I forget what it's called offhand... Back to Jesse McCartney, The Clutch did 2 so far, "It's Over" and "Runnin'". Kwamé did Make Up, Think About It and Psycho Chick and Garrett did "How Do you Sleep", "Rock You", and "Into Ya".
On a side note, Garrett recently completed [at least] 2 songs with Bloodshy & Avant for his own album, "Don't Die" and "End Of The Night".
