As first tipped here, Australian songstress Che'Nelle recorded a track was initially offered by Rich Harrison for Janet Jackson called "Pops Up". The song was slotted for inclusion on Jackson's 8th studio album, "Damita Jo", but did not make the final cut! The sexually flirtatious joint met with the same fate when the track list for Che'Nelle's debut offering, "Things Happen for a Reason", was unveiled.
However, an anonymous reader of Monica Mania filled me in with the situation, and here's what he had to say: - "Janet Jackson recorded a demo to the song Rich Harrison did, "Pops Up", and decided for some reason not to work with him anymore. I got the song for Che'Nelle to record and she did an amazing version of it. Her version was so HOT that Janet's Lawyers fought for months to keep it from coming out after it was mastered. Hmmm, who knows why! The laws of Karma always prevail."
