As it has been previously reported, former Sugababes member Mutya is currently working on her upcoming debut album, and the rumored lead single “Real Girl” features a sample of Lenny Kravitz’ hit “It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over”. She also roped in producer Greg Kurstin for the project, and the song he did for her is called “My Love Story”. For those who came in late, Kurstin is also known for his work on Jessica Simpson’s “A Public Affair”, All Saints’ “Rock Steady”, Sophie Ellis Bextor’s “Catch You” and Lily Allen’s “Alfie”.

According to the upcoming releases schedule by British music channel Radio 1, Songstress Javine has a new song coming up called "Drop The Bomb" featuring rapper Papoose. I'm really excited about this cuz I loved her last album "Surrender", which spawned hits like "Real Things" and "Surrender", as well as productions from Soulpower (Toni Braxton, Blu Cantrell), Stargate (Shola Ama, Lemar) and Johnny Douglas (Amerie, Kylie Minogue). Hopefully "Drop The Bomb" will be as hot as her previous material if not hotter!!!

Singer/songwriter Amanda Ghost released her new single "Time Machine" this week in the UK, and it features Boy George (who reminds me of myself in some kinda way, hee hee). I doubt this song will fair nicely in the charts, but she has nothing to worry about cuz the track she co-wrote with Beyonce and Shakira, "Beautiful Liar", will having her laughing all the way to the bank when it gets released. She also wrote a song with singer/songwriter Johnta Austin called "Erotic", and it was produced by Stargate (Claudette Ortiz, Megan Rochelle), but I'm still not sure whether it was a Janet reject (cuz Ghost worked Jackson during the "20 Y.O." recording sessions), or will end up on Austin's upcoming album "Ocean Drive"? Guess we'll have to wait and see!!!

Here is the album cover to Beverley Knight's upcoming album "Music City Soul", which is due 12^th March via Parlaphone Records. The new set sports collaborations with songwriter/producer Guy Chambers, who previously worked with Knight on her last studio album "Affirmation". Tracks like "Everytime You See Me Smile", "Ain't That A Lot Of Love", "Black Butta" and a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Time Is On My Side" are among the confirmed joints on the album.

Former City High songstress Claudette Ortiz is set to release her debut album this spring via Interscope Records, and the new set will feature collaborations with rappers The Game (I just love him!) & Fabulous, as well as producers/songwriters Dre & Vidal (Amerie, Mariah Carey), Trackmasters (Allure, Rihanna), Bryan Michael Cox (Teairra Mari, Mary J. Blige), The Underdogs (Fantasia, Omarion), Durrell Babbs aka Tank (Aaliyah, Monica), Stargate (Beyonce, Lionel Richie) and her husband Ryan Toby, who also finished working on his debut album "Soul of a Songwriter" due later this year.

The legendary Celine Dion is currently working on her next English album due sometime this fall, and one of the new songs she recently recorded is a track called “I Knew I Loved You”, which was produced by none other than Quincy Jones (Tamia, Michael Jackson). It has also been reported that singer/songwriter NeYo is penning tracks for Mrs. Dion as well. Seems like she's taking a more soulful route this time around, and honestly I can’t wait to hear what she’ll bring to the table.

Sexy R&B songstress Mya has pushed back the release of her upcoming 4^th album again for the zillionth time, and the new date for “Liberation” is 28^th June. As previously reported, the new set will be preceded by the Scott Storch produced lead single “Lock You Down”. Other collaborators on “Liberation” include producers Bryan Michael Cox (Brandy, Claudette Ortiz), Johnathan Rotem (LeToya Luckett, Rihanna) and Kwame (Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson), as well as songwriters Makeba Riddick (Paula Campbell, Fantasia) and Johnta Austin (Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson).

R&B songstress Teairra Mari wrote a new message to her fans via MySpace and confirmed that she's indeed signed to Interscope Records, which is also home to artists such as Keri Hilson, Fergie, Enrique Iglesias and Gwen Stefani ...

After appearing with him for the first time on the album track “Mr. Man”, Alicia Keys is set to reunite with singer/songwriter Jimmy Cozier on his upcoming sophomore album “Perfect Timing”, which also includes additional duets with Keyshia Cole and Olivia. On the other hand, Keys is hard at work on her next album which is due this year via J Records, and said to include collaborations with singer/producer John Legend.
