[RANDOM ALBUM REVIEW] JENTINA - DO NOT DISTURB
- French Kisses: co-written by Cathy Dennis / produced by Greg Wells.
- Hard Times: produced by Matt Rowe.
- Baby: produced by David Dorrell & Matt Rowe.
- Bad Ass Strippa: produced by David Dorrell & Matt Rowe.
- Feels Good: produced by Jason Laidback & David Dorrell.
- Mysterious: produced by David Dorrell & Matt Rowe.
- Smoke: produced by David Dorrell & Matt Rowe.
- Wonderful Day: produced by Dave Kelly.
- Gone: produced by David Dorrell & Matt Rowe.
- Here I Come: produced by David Dorrell & Matt Rowe.
- Sneakers: produced by Jason Laidback & David Dorrell.
It's quite hard to describe Jentina's sound as she's a mixture of M.I.A., Neneh Cherry, Lily Allen, and Eminem all together.
When her debut single, "Bad Ass Strippa", came out in 2002, it was way ahead of it's time with its electric Middle-Eastern beats, and that's probably why it didn't do well on the charts. However, she opted for a more commercial single as her follow-up, and that's when "French Kisses" started hitting the airwaves. Even though it may sound out of place on this album, it's definitely my absolute favorite from the lot, and probably one of the catchiest and best songs I've ever heard in my entire life!
Unfortunately, "French Kisses" suffered the same fate as its precedor "Bad Ass Strippa", thus the 3rd single "Mysterious" saw a limited release in Italy, and that's also only country where her debut album "Do Not Disturb" hit the shelves.
I'm glad I bought my copy online cuz this album is exactly what you'd expect from someone who's like Jentina – bubbly, light, adventurous and funny. From the reggae-influenced "Wonderful Day", rockish "Gone", and Latin-tinged "Baby", you could tell that this album has something for everyone.
"Hard Times" is best described as the modern version of Neneh Cherry's evergreen classic "Manchild", whilst "Smoke" is insanely similar to Eminem's "Lose Yourself", but nevertheless, still very enjoyable.
Rating: (3/5) – Good.

In this case, the word “Rich” does not refer to material items, but rather a certain attitude and confidence, combined with individuality and talent that any girl might possess in her own way.
The band consists of members Audra, Seven, Brave, and Lyndriette, who reign from different parts of the country. All have different backgrounds and experiences, but each has the same passion and love for creativity, expression, music and entertainment which has brought them together.
