My Thoughts:

Since I'm a big fan of production duo Tim Kelley & Bob Robinson – best known for their work with Jennifer Lopez ("Cherry Pie"), Mya ("One Night"), Willa Ford ("Tender"), Hilary Duff ("I Wish"), Brian McKnight ("Comfortable") –  I thought about giving this album a listen ….

Unfortunately, Tamar's solo offering fails to impress despite the presence of top notch musicians such as Jermaine Dupri (Mariah Carey, Chante Moore), Missy Elliot (Tamia, Keyshia Cole), and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart (Blu Cantrell, Celine Dion).

Why? Simply because the beats are hot but the delivery, lyrics, and vocal arrangements are mediocre at best.

Rating: (2/5) – Average.

After achieving success with “Hook Me Up” and “Untouched”, Australian duo The Veronicas have christened the Toby Gad produced “This Love” as the 3^rd single to be lifted from their sophomore album “Hook Me Up” (Sire/Warner Bros).

The set features additional collaborations with Greg Wells (Michelle Branch, Paris Hilton), Shelly Peiken (Ashley Parker Angel, Diana DeGarmo), Billy Steinberg (Kylie Minogue, Celine Dion), and Josh Alexander (Fefe Dobson, Leona Lewis).

As previously reported, Madonna will release her album "Hard Candy" on 29^th April via Maverick/Warner Bros, and it will be preceded by the Timbaland produced lead single "4 Minutes" featuring Justin Timberlake.

Other musicians expected on the set include The Neptunes: Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo (Gwen Stefani, Ashlee Simpson), Kanye West (Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson), Sean "The Garrett" Pen (Kelis, Britney Spears), Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean (Beyonce, Alicia Keys), and Allaune "Akon" Thiam (Whitney Houston, Nicole Scherzinger).

Rihanna is set to re-release her hit album "Good Girl Gone Bad" on 27th May via Def Jam/Island Records, and the rejuvinated set will include a new track entitled "Take a Bow", co-written by Schaffer "Ne-Yo" Smith (Christina Milian, Lindsay Lohan), and produced by Stargate: Tor Erik Hermansen & Mikkel Storleer Eriksen (Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson). 

Songwriting/production team Schaffer "Ne-Yo" Smith and Stargate collectively collaborated with the Barbados born songstress on tracks like "Happy", "Let Me", "We Ride", "Question Existing", "Cry", "Don't Stop the Music", "Unfaithful", "Hate That I Love You" and "Good Girl Gone Bad".

Singer/songwriter Lucie Silvas posted new songs on her official MySpace profile including "Faultline", "Remember Me" and "Tempted". Her as-yet untitled 3^rd album is expected to boast collaborations with Terius "Dream" Nash, with whom she wrote the tracks "All This Madness", "Bad Boyz" and "Sleepover".

After changing the title to "Just What I Want", singer/songwriter Solange Knowles has renamed her forthcoming sophomore album yet again to "Soul Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams".

The Geffen set – currently earmarked for an August release – is expected to spawn collaborations with Soulshock & Karlin: Carsten Schack & Kenneth Karlin (Toni Braxton, Nicole Scherzinger), Mark Ronson (Nikka Costa, Christina Aguilera), Marsha Ambrosius (Angie Stone, Jazmine Sullivan), Jack Splash (Alicia Keys, Britney Spears), The Neptunes: Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo (Kelis, Faith Evans), Robert Shea Taylor (Paula DeAnda, Wynter Gordon), Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean (Fantasia Barrino, Jennifer Lopez), and Thomas "Cee-Lo" Callaway (Estelle Swaray, Tori Alamaze).

Fans of Soul songstress Brandy will be happy to learn that she's coming back with a new single entitled "Dig This", off the motion picture soundtrack "Meet The Browns", due 18^th March via Atlantic Records. The track was co-written by Johnta Austin (Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson), and produced by Eric Hudson (Raven Symone, Leona Lewis).

For those who are not aware, "Dig This" marks the 2^nd collaboration between Austin and Hudson as their initial placement was on the joint "Talk to Me", taken from Mary J. Blige's latest album "Growing Pains" (Geffen Records).

On the other hand, Brandy's forthcoming effort – yet to be titled – is said to sport alliances from Bryan Michael Cox (Kelly Rowland, Faith Evans), Kendrick "Wyldcard" Dean (Toni Braxton, Chante Moore), Cristyle "The Ink" Johnson (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez), and Jermaine Dupri (Alicia Keys, Christina Milian).

As previously reported, Bad Boy recording group Danity Kane will release their sophomore album, "Welcome to the Dollhouse", on 18^th March via Atlantic Records. The set is led by new single "Damaged", produced by The Stereotypes.
