"Mad about the Boy" has been chosen as the 2^nd single off Ava Leigh's forthcoming debut album tentatively entitled "Turned-On Underground", which is due later this year via Virgin Records.

The set is confirmed to spawn collaborations with Sly Dumbar & Robbie Shakespeare (Sinead O Connor, Gwen Stefani), and Future Cut: Tunde Babalola & Darren Lewis (Lily Allen, Nicole Scherzinger).

Former No Secrets member Jessi Malay has christened the DJ Felli Fel produced “Cinematic” as the 2^nd single from her forthcoming debut album, which is due later this year via Atlantic Records.

Among the additional musicians backing Malay on the as-yet untitled set are Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem (Rihanna, Lucy Walsh), Evan “Kidd” Bogart of The Writing Camp (Jennifer Lopez, Christina Milian), Tawanna “Frankie Storm” Dabney (Samantha Jade, Brooke Hogan), and Stargate: Tor Erik Hermansen & Mikkel Storleer Eriksen (Leona Lewis, Jeannie Ortega).

Executively produced by Mathew Knowles for Music World Productions, Solange’s sophomore LP finds her collaborating with some of today's hottest musicians including Jack Splash (Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson), Makeba Riddick (Jennifer Lopez, Mya Harrison), Soulshock & Karlin: Carsten Schack and Kenneth Karlin (Blu Cantrell, Kelly Rowland), Mark Ronson (Christina Aguilera, Nikka Costa), Estelle Swaray (Natasha Bedingfield, Remi Nicole), Robert Shea Taylor (Wynter Gordon, Paula DeAnda), Thomas “Cee-Lo” Callaway (Nicole Scherzinger, Tori Alamaze), Marsha Ambrosius (Emily King, Angie Stone), and Raphael Saadiq (Whitney Houston, Teedra Moses).

Up and coming artist Pixie Lott checked in with fans via her official MySpace profile on Monday (21st April) with the following message: - "I'm now in my last week in LA. We had to extend the trip to get more writing sessions in! It has been a very eventful and productive trip and I love being in LA! I started off working with The Underdogs and Kara DioGuardi. We have the song up on the MySpace right now – “Without You” - so have a little listen! We also did another song with Harvey Mason Jr. called 'Everytime', which you can hear soon. After working with him, I went to work with Soulshock & Karlin and Claude Kelly.  We wrote 2 new songs which turned out great! I also worked with Mike Elizondo and David Ryan Harris at Mike's beautiful house and studio in Westlake Village. I'm going there again later this week! Today I'm going to work with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins for a couple of days ... I’ll let you know how it goes! So besides the work side of things, I was lucky enough to have my beautiful friend Carla to come and visit, so we fitted in a spot of shopping in Santa Monica. We also went along to support Toby Gad get his song of the year award at the ASCAP awards! It was amazing to go down the red carpet and get photographed so much! We were seated next to Justin Timberlake, Natasha Bedingfield and Fergie, we couldn't believe it! Lionel and Nicole Richie were sat right behind us it was amazing! Thank you Toby for inviting us! We also went to see the 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' last night. It was so funny my mum and I loved it. You should defo go out to see that. So there's your little LA update! Singer/songwriter Cathy Dennis is reportedly working on new solo material with musicians Guy Chambers (Kelis, Beverley Knight), and Greg Kurstin (Kylie Minogue, Lilly Allen).

Among the track titles that have been recently registered with ASCAP – American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers – are "Future Ex", "Looking for a Hero", "Out of Town", "That Is Why You Love Me" and "When Dreams Turn to Dust".

As previously tipped here, Dennis is also forming a new band called The Sex Cassettes with extra help from producers Mark Ronson (Nikka Costa, Amy Winehouse), and Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald (Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis), with whom she co-wrote Sugababes' "About You Now" and Britney Spears' "All The Way".
