In a recent interview with MTV, Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger previewed songs from her forthcoming debut album, “Her Name Is Nicole”, which is slated for release later this fall via A&M records. Tracks confirmed on the set include:

• “I M.I.S.S. U” – produced by The Neptunes.
• “Baby Love” – produced by Will “Will-I-Am” Adams.
• “Puakenikeni” – produced by Akon.

R&B singer/songwriter Cheri Dennis will release “Portrait of Love” featuring Diddy as the lead single from her long-awaited debut album, which is due later this year via Bad Boy Records. For those who came in late, the “I Love You” singer wasn’t standing still when her album got pushed back for several years, as she kept herself busy by co-writing songs for Danity Kane (“Back Up”) and Olivia (“Look Around”). Expect hot productions on Dennis’ still-untitled set courtesy of Bryan Michael Cox (Mariah Carey, Faith Evans), Missy Elliot (Tamia, Whitney Houston), Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins (Toni Braxton, Aaliyah) and Ryan Leslie (Britney Spears, Katharine McPhee).

Pop group Brit & Alex have signed a new record deal with Interscope Records (Gwen Stefani, Enrique Iglesias, Teairra Mari), and they are currently in the studio putting the final touches on their forthcoming debut album with producer Tricky Stewart, who's also enjoying the chart success he achieved by producing Rihanna's smash-single "Umbrella". Singer/songwriter Erika Rose has set a date for her forthcoming debut album "Rosegarden" as it's going to be released on July 24^th via indie-label Infinity Le Monde. Lead single, "The Darkness", has already been filmed, and you can check out the video HERE. Actor/singer Jamie Foxx is reportedly working on the follow-up to his hugely successful album, "Unpredictable", which was released in 2005 via J Records and boasted joints like "DJ Play A Love Song" and "Can I Take You Home?". Singer/songwriter Durrell "Tank" Babbs has been tapped for the project, and for those who came in late, the pair's initial collabo was on the album tracks "VIP", "Do What It Do" and "Wish You Were Here". Mega producers The Neptunes are also expected to join the "Dreamgirls" star in the studio, especially since they already helmed his duets with Diddy ("Partners For Life") and LL Cool J ("Best Dress"). Personally, I think Jamie has a nice voice, but I like his luscious body a lot more!  Wish you guys have seen the look on my face when I saw his shower scene in the movie "Miami Vice" (hee hee) … Someone should tell him to get buff on screen more often!

New girl-group Myxx (consisting of sisters Elizabeth & Evonne) revealed in a new blog @ their official MySpace profile that they have finished recording more than 25 songs for their forthcoming debut album, which was executively produced by The Insomniax (Bobby Valentino, Jojo, 3LW), and we shall expect guest appearances courtesy of Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men, R&B boyband B5, and Australian songstress Che'Nelle, who's also releasing her album later this year via Virgin Records. If it's worth your while, I strongly suggest giving them a listen!

I've been a huge fan of R&B siren Christina Milian for as long as I can remember, and whenever she comes out with an album, I'll be the first to get my copy whether I like the lead single or not! "So Amazin'" was her last album with Def Jam Records and here's what I honestly think of it …

The opener "Say I" has got to be one of the weakest songs on the set, and I wonder who's the idiot who decided to let this joint be the lead single?! The beat is insanely similar to The Game's "Hate It Or Love It", and I find it so annoying when she sings "I'mma Keep It Gangsta" … "Twisted" on the other hand makes up for the faulty opener, and just like Milian introduced us to Teedra Moses with "Dip It Low", this hot track was co-written by singer/songwriter Jazmine Sullivan, who's also rumored to have signed a new record deal with J-Records. "Gonna Tell Everybody" and "Foolin'" are catchy anthems to all women who have been done wrong by their men. "My Lovin' Goes" sounds futuristic, and a perfect way to describe it would be "Kylie Minogue meets TLC". "Just A Little Bit" has a very spontaneous chorus, and even though it's gets a little repetitive, I still think it's one of the better joints on the album. Christina's Cuban roots are explored in the Latin-tinged "She Don't Know", whereas "Who's Gonna Ride" exhibits so much negative energy that I always skip it. Other weak picks include the title track "So Amazin'" and "Hot Boy".  The Schaffer "Ne-Yo" Smith penned "Y'all Ain't Nuthin" came as a huge disappointment as well, despite the fact that he has written amazing tracks for her label-mates Rihanna ("Unfaithful") and Megan Rochell ("Floating").

Also, a huge controversy was created when the media learnt that Milian rejected Rihanna's mega smash "S.O.S.", but she cleared it out at her MySpace profile by stating that the track she originally turned down was the Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins produced "The One You Need", and god knows how that song would have benefited this album. Another joint that should have been on the track-list is "Don't Wanna Lose Ya Love", which I personally think is better than all the tracks on "So Amazin'".

All in all, this album is strictly for Christina Milian's die-hard fans … There are no average tracks as the good ones are really good, and the bad ones are really bad! I would have rated this album 2 stars, but I gotta give the singer/actress credit for trying to be original and hooking up with promising producers Cool & Dre, who have given her a new edge on "So Amazin'" …

He described the joint as very pop sounding, but quite filthy ... sounds interesting I must say, hee hee.
