It has been confirmed that Janet Jackson have started working on the follow-up to her latest album, "20 Years Old", and the new set will be supervised by none other than music mogul L.A. Reid, who's also responsible for Mariah Carey's extremely successful comeback LP, "The Emancipation of Mimi". Mega producer Jermaine Dupri will also be among the collaborators on the project, as well as Jackson's partners in crime Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

Even though it's not confirmed yet, I'm also expecting the likes of songwriter Sean Garrett (who's one of L.A. Reid's favorite clients) and rapper/producer Kanye West, who reportedly worked with the "Nasty" singer on "20 Y.O.", but none of his tracks made it to the final cut. I guess the "Poetic Justice" star was saving the best for last, hee hee! Speaking of West and Garrett, enjoy the track I've uploaded which also marks the their first placement (and hopefully, it won't be their last!) … It's called "My Baby" taken from Jackson's VERY underrated album, "Damita Jo".

Newcomer Tynisha Keli posted a new message on her official MySpace profile stating that she's already done with recording her upcoming debut album, and a release date will be up soon. The set's lead single, "I Wish You Loved Me", will be available for purchase via Itunes on July 10^th, so don't forget to check that one out! The as-yet untitled set is expected to boast productions courtesy of The Corna Boyz (Megan Rochell, Candace Jones), Bryan Michael Cox (Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Scherzinger), Robin Thicke (Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige), Mischke Butler (Blu Cantrell,  3LW), Jonathan "J.R." Rotem (Britney Spears, Rihanna) and Eric Hudson (Chris Brown, Omarion).

R&B artist Natasha is hard at work on her forthcoming debut album, which is due later this year via Jive Records. As it was previously reported, mega-producer Rodney Jerkins (Toni Braxton, Jennifer Hudson) is handling most of the production, whereas Sean Garrett (Britney Spears, Samantha Jade) and Stargate (Mariah Carey, Claudette Ortiz) have been drafted for the as-yet untitled LP as well. It’s also important to note that Jerkins and Garrett previously collaborated on tracks like Destiny’s Child’s “Lose My Breath”, Mary J. Blige’s “Enough Cryin’”, and Fantasia’s “It’s All Good”. Do you think the tracks they belt out for Natasha will be as good?

According to the latest issue of Vibe magazine (July 2007), production duo The Runners are currently in the studio with Pop artist Kylie Minogue, who's planning to release her next album later this year via Parlaphone Records. For those who came in late, the production duo are best known for their work with rapper Rick Ross, especially on the hit single "Hustlin'". I wonder what sound they will give to the "Spinning Around" singer, but it definitely sounds interesting. Other artists set to join the hitmakers in the lab soon are Lindsay Lohan (Maverick Records), Britney Spears (Jive Records), and Christina Milian (TBA).

On the other hand, producer Johnny Douglas, who worked with Minogue on tracks like "Red Blooded Woman", "Chocolate", "Cruise Control", "Disco Down" and "Koocachoo", won't be producing tracks on her as-yet untitled next album. He informed me that the tracks submitted to Parlaphone were turned down cuz they're not interested in R&B tinged Pop music anymore, and heading for hard-hitting dance music instead!

Fans of The Veronicas will be happy to learn that they are in the process of recording their sophomore LP, as it’s been reported that producer Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem (LeToya Luckett, Rihanna) has been tapped for the project. There’s still no release date for the as-yet untitled album, but I’m definitely looking forward to it.

The Australian duo’s debut, “The Secret Life Of The Veronicas”, was released in February 2006 via Warner Bros, and boasted hits like “When It All Falls Apart”. Among the producers/songwriters on that disc were Max Martin (Britney Spears, Kelis), Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald (Ashley Parker Angel, Jeannie Ortega), Billy Steinberg (Katharine McPhee, Holly Valance), Josh Alexander (Jojo, Paris Hilton), Toby Gad (Fergie, Jordan McCoy) and Kara Dioguardi (Delta Goodrem, Gwen Stefani).

You may recognize Scenic Woods from BET's 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday as she was the winner in 2006, and will be returning to the same show this year to compete on Wild Out Wednesday's Allstars. Among the singer/songwriter/musician other notable achievements are being an ex-background vocalist for Soul songstress Faith Evans, and recently opening up for R&B crooner Musiq Soulchild. Her lead single, "In A Box", is scheduled for release in September, so don't forget to check it out! On the other hand, Woods' management sent me some of her songs, and I thought about sharing my favorite; "Kiss Me Down" ... Would love to hear what you think of it :)

MTV caught up with Jennifer Lopez to talk about her forthcoming English album, and here's what she had to say:

"I'm really excited about it," Lopez said of the next album. "The first single will be out this summer. And, you know, it's very different from my Spanish album. My Spanish album was kind of an opportunity to get away from what I do on my English [albums], to kind of express a different side of myself. This [next] album is more of what people and my fans are used to — you know, just kind of a dance, funk, R&B, hip-hop, all that stuff, all mixed up together to make some great pop music. "Basically it's just danceable music," she said.

It has been officially confirmed via Sony BMG that Natalie Imbruglia’s forthcoming album, "Glorious: The Singles", will be released on 10^th September. The collection will include past hits such as “Torn”, “Beauty On The Fire” (my favorite), “Wrong Impression”, “Shiver”, as well as 2 new songs. The Australian pop artist released her last studio album, “Counting Down The Days”, on 19^th April 2005, and among the songwriters/producers on that set were Kara Dioguardi (Christina Aguilera, Nicole Scherzinger), Shep Solomon (Britney Spears, Paris Hilton), Eg White (Mutya Buena, Simon Webbe) and Matt Prime (Jamelia, Victoria Beckham).

Seems like Dawn Richard of Danity Kane is preparing herself for solo-stardom as she recently previewed 2 new songs on her official Myspace; “Ms. Detective” and “Flawless”. The latter track was produced by Jim Jonsin, who previously worked with the girl-group on joints like “Showstopper” and “Heartbreaker”, whereas his other credits include Mario Vazquez’s “Just A Friend” and Jamie Foxx’s “Unpredictable”. After listening to these songs, do you think Richard will have a successful career once Danity Kane are over?

It has been confirmed that Actress Robin Givens, whom I envy very much cuz she's bedding R&B crooner Tank, will be playing the lead role of radio jockey Wendy Williams in the forthcoming biopic "Queen Of The Media". The movie is set to feature appearances from celebs like Lil Kim, Vanessa Williams and Chico DeBarge. I'm really looking forward to this one cuz Williams always conducts insightful and interesting interviews, not forgetting to mention her raw and in your face kinda attitude. I don't know why, but something tells me that this movie will be even funnier than Howard Stern's biopic "Private Parts", which is also one of my favorites.
