Congratulations to Sugababes for officially taking control of the UK singles chart dated 30th September with their new single "About You Now", produced by Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald (Avril Lavigne – "Girlfriend" / Kelly Clarkson – "Since U Been Gone" / Pink – "U + Ur Hands" / Kelis "I Don't Think So") and co-written by Cathy Dennis (Janet Jackson - "Island Life" / Rachel Stevens - "Sweet Dreams My L.A. Ex"). The track is lifted from their forthcoming album, "Change", due 8th October via Island/Universal. Expect additional collaborations with Dallas Austin (Brit & Alex, Gwen Stefani), Brian Higgins of Xenomania (Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud), William Orbit (Madonna, All Saints), Future Cut: Tunde Babalola & Darren Lewis (Nicole Scherzinger, Lily Allen) and Bloodshy & Avant: Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg (Christina Milian, Jennifer Lopez).

Yay!! Another #1 for the girls. They're the first girl group to go #1 on downloads alone - so congrats to 'em. They deserve it. I bet Mutya is fuming! *lol*

"About you now" is cool, but the album has much better tracks than it. Dr. Luke has another song on the album called "Surprise" which I actually prefer. It's less thrashy and slower, but really hot. "Never gonna dance again" is still my fave song though. I just love everything about it. The Xenomania crew definitely came correct with that track.
