R&B songstress Mary J. Blige has dubbed "I Am" as the 2^nd single from her upcoming 9^th album, "Stronger," which is due in the US on 23^rd December via Geffen Records. The track was helmed by Johnta Austin (Aaliyah, Fantasia Barrino) and Stargate: Tor Erik Hermansen & Mikkel Storleer Eriksen (Brandy, Kelly Rowland).

Johnta Austin and Stargate have previously collaborated on hits performed by Whitney Houston ("Call You Tonight"), Enrique Iglesias ("On Top of You"), Mariah Carey ("I'm That Chick"), Jordin Sparks ("Just for the Record"), Leona Lewis ("Angel") and Esmee Denters ("Just Can't Have It").
