Entry: ALICIA KEYS DEBUTS NEW SINGLE 'NEW DAY' ONLINE Thursday, June 28, 2012



Alicia Keys has unveiled her new single online.

"New Day" marks the lead single from the R&B singer/songwriter's upcoming fifth album, which is scheduled for release later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

The still-untitled project serves as the follow-up to 2009's "The Element of Freedom." That release debuted and peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's 200 Albums Chart. It launched two hit singles on the Hot 100 Singles Chart: "Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart" (No.27) and "Unthinkable (I'm Ready)" (No. 21).

Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean (Whitney Houston, Beyonce Knowles), Emeli Sande (Leona Lewis, Alesha Dixon), Warren "Oak" Felder (Toni Braxton, Chris Brown), Kerry "Krucial" Keys (Christina Aguilera, Keyshia Cole) and Andrew "Pop" Wansel (Nicki Minaj, Sterling Simms) are among the musicians Alicia Keys has collaborated with for the project.
