The Veronicas have announced the title of their new single and album.
The Australian duo – consisting of twin sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso – will release “Lolita” as the lead single from their upcoming third album, “Life on Mars,” which is slated for release later this year via Warner Music Group / Warner Bros. Records.
“Life on Mars” serves as the follow-up to 2007’s “Hook Me Up,” which debuted and peaked at number two on the Australian Albums Chart. That release also launched four hit singles on the Australian Singles Chart: “Hook Me Up” (No. 1), “Untouched” (No. 2), “This Love” (No. 10) and “Take Me on the Floor” (No. 7).
Among the songwriters and producers that contributed to “Life on Mars” are Toby Gad (Natasha Bedingfield, Kelly Rowland), Sophie Stern (Conor Maynard, Britney Spears), Martin “Cherry Cherry Boom Boom” Kierszenbaum (Natalia Kills, Alexandra Burke), Nicole Morier (Wynter Gordon, Sky Ferreira), Arnthor Birgisson (Leona Lewis, Janet Jackson), Lindy Robbins (Tanya Lacey, Jason Derulo), Fernando Garibay (Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias) and Billy Steinberg (Paris Hilton, Katharine McPhee).
